AGE LIMITS: Seniors 17 years and over in the year of the swim.
DATE OF SWIM: Sunday 7th September 2014 at 14.00 hours
CLOSING DATE: Thursday 7th August 2014.
ENTRY FEE: £25.00 (£15.00 if supplying own Boat & Crew).
DISTANCE: 4 Miles – Tide assisted.
PARKING: At Discovery Point car park (parking fee payable) **Note Waterfront Development works in the area may force a change to parking arrangements** for the start and free parking at the YEAABA pier Broughty Ferry. Swimmers should arrange transport to the start, travelling by boat is not an option.
BRIEFING: On the day at the water-front promenade to the rear of Discovery Point, Dundee at 13.30 hours prompt.
START: On the starters/referees instruction, swimmers should promptly access the water via the slipway and line up facing down-river. Start will be by loud hailer.
COURSE: This is a point-to-point, tide assisted swim using the ebbing flow of the river, taking swimmers under the Tay Road Bridge. The line will be as straight as the currents and your ability permits. Please follow your boat at all times.
FINISH: By touching the south west corner of the YEAABA pier, Broughty Ferry. N.B. A swimmer finishing, but missing the “touch” due to tidal conditions will be accorded a certificate but no official time or place in the race.
PRESENTATION: Will be at the YEAABA clubhouse on completion of the swim.

Ladies Breaststroke

In addition to the annual awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each category will be awarded a unique
‘Ian D. McIntosh Medal’ in Gold, Silver or Bronze.
All finishers will receive a personalized certificate.
